Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 17, 2026

Gratify Inc. (“Gratify,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, and the rights you have over it. By using Gratify you agree to the practices described here.

01

Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Creator account data

Name, email address, Stripe Connect account ID, slug, bio, and payout preferences provided during onboarding.

Fan (tipper) data

Name, email address, tip amount, and optional message submitted when a fan sends a tip.

Tip transaction records

Amount, date, Stripe session ID, and net payout for each completed transaction — used for CRM and NTOT recordkeeping.

Authentication data

Handled by Clerk (see section 08). We receive only a Clerk user ID and do not store passwords.

Usage & device data

Browser type, approximate location (country/region), pages visited, and interactions — used to improve platform performance.

02

How We Use Your Data

  • Process tip payments and distribute payouts to creators via Stripe.
  • Send transactional emails — tip receipts to fans and thank-you notifications to creators — via Resend.
  • Populate creator CRM records so creators can view and manage their fan relationships.
  • Provide NTOT recordkeeping tools by storing tip amounts and dates against creator accounts.
  • Respond to support requests and investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Improve platform features, diagnose bugs, and analyse aggregate usage patterns (never individual profiling).

03

Payment Data — Stripe

All payment card data is collected and stored exclusively by Stripe, Inc. Gratify never sees or stores raw card details.

Creator payout bank account details are also held by Stripe Connect. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

04

Email Communications — Resend

We use Resend to deliver transactional emails. We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in. You may opt out at any time by emailing hello@gotgratify.com.

05

Data Storage — Supabase

Creator accounts, fan records, and tip history are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. Data is stored in the United States. Supabase enforces encryption at rest and in transit and is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

06

Authentication — Clerk

Creator authentication is handled by Clerk. Gratify does not store passwords or authentication tokens directly. Clerk’s privacy policy is available at clerk.com/legal/privacy.

07

No Selling of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for any purpose, including marketing, advertising, or data brokerage.

08

Cookies & Tracking

Gratify uses session cookies set by Clerk to maintain your login state. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function. We may use lightweight, privacy-preserving analytics with no cross-site tracking or personal profiling.

09

Your Rights & Data Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, portability, and restriction.

Self-service deletion: Creator accounts can be permanently deleted at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete my account. This immediately and permanently removes your creator profile, all fan records, and tip history.

To exercise any other rights, or to request deletion of fan/tipper data, email privacy@gotgratify.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10

Data Retention

We retain creator account data for as long as your account is active. Fan tip records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial and tax recordkeeping obligations.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify creators by email and update the “Last updated” date above.
